1 day and a few hours

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while.  Things have bee=
n busy getting ready for the race.  I have had trouble with my right I=
T band that came up out of no where two weeks ago.  Going to see Dr. D=
ukes the past week and its helping but still stuck at some point.  I w=
as off running for a week and ran 3 this morning.  It tightened up aga=
in but stretching the abductors seemed to help.  It may be a race of s=
tretching and running every mile to get through.  I”m excited to see w=
hat God is going to teach me with this run.  As In each run prior it a=
lways makes me stronger and wiser and helps me in my personal life.  A=
nd most important I never go through it alone.  Sunday we sang a song =
Never Walk Alone.  In the chorus there is a section that says every st=
ep “I”m breathing in Your Grace, ever more I’ll be breathing out Your Prais=
e”.  That will never be more true than this weekend as I take thousand=
s of steps to get to the finish line.  I”ll try to post to the site or=
have someone do that for me during the race or you can check on Facebook a=

Busy week and now a 50!

Its been a busy week. I was pretty sore after the Yoga class last Friday so I took off Saturday and ran 2 hours Sunday on the roads and it felt easy and fun. Pace was about 10:30/m. Sunday night I had my first meeting with the Society for Women Who Love Shoes event. It was an Oscar watching party with Red carpet, Interviews and photographs! Everyone dressed in gowns and it had the real feel of the Oscars. What a great way to gather interest and raise money for a great foundation!

Monday night I ran 8 on roads as the hamstring was still sore from the Yoga. I ended up making an early appt with Dr. Dukes to work out some junk. Wednesday night ran 6 and things felt good so got up Thursday and went to the 5:30am Yoga class.

Running Nueses 50m tomorrow. As I haven’t run this race before I’m excited to see some new terrain!

Feb 23

Started back to Hot Yoga today.  I am on a med for Thyroid and took a pill before class at 5:30 am.  That ended up being a mistake, 30 min into class and I was ready to pass out!  I sat down for a bit and ended the class following along very weakly!

Ran this evening 10ish miles at 1:45 and felt pretty good.  6 hours till wake up.
